Context
A technology portfolio required approval and review across multiple internal functions. Long approval lead times made the process harder to manage.
Decision & trade-off
Approvals involved stakeholders across multiple functions and took too long to move forward. I focused the redesign on clear decision ownership, approval stages, and shared visibility.
My actions
I interviewed approvers, redesigned the workflow in Jira, and standardized reporting in Power BI. I secured stakeholder sign-off and led walkthroughs so participating teams understood the process. Alongside this work, I ran recurring portfolio reviews covering progress, budgets, and risks.
Outcome
Approval lead time fell by 60%. The workflow made responsibilities and approval status visible across teams, supporting a more consistent approach to program governance.
